Branding a Mission-Driven Real Estate Company Built on Rural Roots
Year :
2021
Industry :
Real Estate
Client :
Pomeroy Development / Pomeroy Properties
Project Duration :
4 Months / Ongoing

The Challenge
Real estate developer Justin Pregont had a vision: to breathe new life into forgotten buildings across Kansas. His company, Pomeroy Development, was revitalizing historic, underutilized properties in rural communities—projects that required grit, creativity, and deep local connection. But his growing operation also included Pomeroy Properties, the rental and management arm that handled day-to-day operations and tenant care.
With two distinct but connected brands under one mission, Justin needed a unified visual identity, website, and photography library that could carry the weight of both legacy and innovation.

The Process
Storyweaver Brands partnered with Justin to create sister brands that honored the past while paving the way for bold, community-focused development. The brand had to signal trust, craft, and purpose—with just the right dose of charm.
We focused on:
Designing logos that visually connect while representing the two business functions
Crafting a brand identity grounded in Kansas history and future-forward development
Creating digital platforms and brand photography that told the story of Pomeroy’s impact

The Deliverables
We built a timeless, flexible identity system that’s rooted in the story of Kansas towns—and the people restoring them.
Deliverables included:
Brand Strategy & Messaging:
Clarified the distinction and connection between the development and rental arms, while articulating a shared mission of community revitalizationVisual Identity Design:
Created a monogram-style logo using the serif-heavy typography found in the papers of Kansas senator Samuel C. Pomeroy—a nod to history, permanence, and placePomeroy Development features the original “pd” monogram
Pomeroy Properties uses the same symbol—flipped—to reflect their mirrored, sister-like structure
Photography:
Captured brand photography across multiple Pomeroy sites, including interior design, architectural details, in-progress renovations, and community-focused storytellingSister Websites:
Designed and built separate but visually connected websites for each business, allowing for easy navigation between project portfolios, available rentals, and contact forms
The Outcome
Pomeroy Development and Pomeroy Properties now have:
A distinct but unified brand presence across print, digital, and signage
Logos that are instantly recognizable and grounded in Kansas heritage
Two clean, easy-to-navigate websites that support inquiries, showcase progress, and drive local interest
A full library of on-brand, high-quality photography for use across social media, press, and investor relations
Why It Worked
We didn’t just build a brand—we built a system that mirrors the work Justin does every day: connecting past and future, vision and function. By pairing thoughtful design with intentional storytelling, we helped Pomeroy show up as more than a developer—as a trusted partner in the transformation of small-town Kansas.
