Atchison Farmers' Market
Refreshing a Community Staple with a Brand That’s Rooted and Ready to Grow
Year :
2024
Industry :
Agriculture
Client :
Atchison Farmers' Market
Project Duration :
3 Months

The Challenge
For over three decades, the Atchison Farmers’ Market has brought together local growers, makers, and families every Saturday morning. But while the market itself was thriving, its branding hadn’t kept pace. With new leadership, fresh energy, and plans to expand programming, the market needed a visual identity and digital presence that reflected its role as a community connector—not just a place to buy produce.
They needed a brand that felt as fresh as the tomatoes. Something joyful, local, and built to grow.

The Process
Storyweaver Brands partnered with the Market board to bring clarity, charm, and modern consistency to their communications—without losing the warmth and grassroots feel that made the market special.
Our work focused on:
Honoring the market’s legacy while creating room for new programs and outreach
Creating a versatile visual identity that could be used by multiple volunteers and vendors
Developing systems for easier marketing, promotion, and event planning

The Deliverables
We developed a vibrant brand package and marketing toolkit designed to simplify outreach and build community recognition.
Deliverables included:
Brand Strategy & Messaging:
Clarified the Market’s mission, target audience, tone of voice, and community valuesLogo System:
Designed a custom logo suite that celebrates Atchison’s river town charm and the abundance of the market—fresh, hand-drawn, and full of movementVisual Identity Kit:
Developed a flexible brand palette, type system, and seasonal graphicsMarketing Templates:
Created Canva templates for vendor highlights, event promotions, newsletters, and more—so any volunteer could step in and stay on-brandWebsite & Communications Consulting:
Provided copy and guidance for an updated digital presence and new print signage
The Outcome
With the new brand in place, the Atchison Farmers’ Market now has:
A recognizable identity that feels joyful, local, and professional
Easy-to-use tools that empower volunteers and vendors to promote the market consistently
Stronger visibility in the community and online
A visual system that can flex for future growth, partnerships, and seasonal events
We didn’t just design for the market—we designed with it. By listening to the heart of the community and weaving in the voice of local growers, artisans, and families, we created a brand that’s as homegrown as the produce. One that invites people in, rain or shine.
